Ann Harding Conference Centre An award-winning university conference centre on the UC Bruce campus with spaces for 20–400 guests, including a high-capacity auditorium, glass foyer, dual seminar rooms, a refectory and 100+ lecture theatres — backed by Executive Chef-led in-house catering. Belconnen, Canberra BruceThe Ann Harding Conference Centre, operated by UCX Ltd on the University of Canberra’s Bruce campus, is an award-winning events venue 10 minutes from Canberra’s CBD. Surrounded by native bushland and its own Ngaladjima Gardens, it handles events from intimate strategy days to full-scale conferences and diplomatic receptions for up to 400 guests.
The Conference Room is the centrepiece — a high-capacity auditorium with floor-to-ceiling windows flooded with natural light, direct access to the surrounding gardens for outdoor networking, and advanced AV operated from intuitive touch panels. It accommodates large keynotes, gala dinners and hybrid presentations in open floor or fully catered formal arrangements.
The Glass Foyer is a striking architectural space with soaring glass walls and curated Indigenous artworks that make an immediate impression for cocktail receptions, expos and media launches. Its integrated sound and speaker systems mean it can double as a standalone presentation venue. The Seminar Rooms are ideal for workshops, panels and breakout sessions; a moveable wall system allows the two rooms to be combined into a larger format. The intimate Semesters Room in Building One suits boardroom meetings and celebratory lunches, with panoramic garden views.
Beyond the Ann Harding precinct, UCX can source from more than 100 lecture theatres and tutorial rooms across campus — each purpose-built with built-in AV, microphones, data projection and flexible seating for audiences from 50 to several hundred. The UC Refectory transforms into a large-scale event canvas for expos, gala dinners, formal award nights and trade shows, with high ceilings, open-plan layout, a dedicated tech area, pop-up bar capability and space for custom-built staging.
In-house catering is provided by Group Executive Chef Roulan Habi and the UCEventsX team, offering conference packages, banquet and buffet menus, canapés, plated meals, and tiered beverages packages. Off-site catering to government buildings, embassies and private venues across Canberra is also available. Four self-contained on-site apartments provide accommodation for visiting speakers and overnight guests.
Enquiries via online form, phone (0458 706 878) or email (conferencecentre@canberra.edu.au). UCX is a not-for-profit; revenue supports UC student well-being programs.
