The Australian National Botanic Gardens hold the country’s most complete living collection of native plants, spread across the lower slopes of Black Mountain a few minutes from the city centre. For events that means a genuinely Australian setting — eucalypt forest, a misted rainforest gully, and open lawns backed by native planting — without leaving town.
Five ceremony locations are available across the gardens, ranging from the intimacy of the rainforest gully to expansive lawns that suit larger groups. Ceremonies and cocktail receptions run from 30 to 200 guests, catered on site. Indoors, the Crosbie Morrison Building is the main function room, surrounded by large windows looking over the ponds on the Education Lawn, and smaller meeting rooms handle workshops and corporate sessions. The mix of indoor and outdoor spaces makes it as workable for a weekday meeting as for a Saturday wedding.
