Mercure Canberra A heritage hotel in Braddon offering an all-in-one wedding venue — garden ceremonies, flexible reception spaces for up to 180 guests, on-site accommodation and a dedicated wedding coordinator. City, Canberra Braddon
Mercure Canberra is a heritage-listed hotel on the corner of Limestone and Ainslie Avenues in Braddon, a short walk from the city centre and the Australian War Memorial. Opened in 1927 as Olims Hotel, it has hosted weddings for more than 95 years and now runs them as an all-in-one package — a private garden courtyard for the ceremony, flexible indoor reception spaces for up to 180 guests, and 129 rooms so the bridal party and guests can stay on site.
Wedding packages cover venue hire, catering, beverages, styling basics and coordination, with plated, buffet and cocktail menus built around seasonal local produce. The courtyard, ballroom and bistro spaces sit close together, which makes a photo booth easy to place where guests will actually find it — and keeps setup simple with parking and level access on site.
