Cooma Bowling Club sits in the middle of town on Mawson Street, the main club venue for Cooma and the wider Snowy Monaro district. It runs a bistro through the week, a bar that can be staffed for private events, and greens that are the whole point of booking it.
Barefoot bowls is the club’s signature group offering through the warmer months — no experience needed, good for mixed ages, and equally suited to a birthday, a team-building afternoon or a casual get-together. Christmas party packages combine a day on the greens with catering and entertainment. The club also provides a large and deliberately unhurried space for wakes and memorials, catered from $15 per person on most days of the week, with staff who handle the arrangements. Cooma is about 115 km south of Canberra on the Monaro Highway, the last major town before the Snowy Mountains.
