Gold Creek Station

Gold Creek Station is a 400-hectare working sheep station on Canberra’s northern edge — a genuine family-owned property with deep roots in the region dating back to 1861. The Starr family have operated the station for nearly 50 years, and began hosting weddings and events from 2010.

The function centre, Kinsleyside Manor, was rebuilt by the family after a fire in 2015 using recycled materials sourced from around Australia. The result is a distinctive building with stained glass entry, exposed timber throughout, classic wide verandas and a character you won’t find in a conventional function centre. Three indoor areas plus multiple covered outdoor spaces give flexibility for ceremonies, cocktail hours and seated receptions up to 300 guests.

The station operates exclusively — only one event per day — so your celebration has the whole property to itself. Whether you’re after a smorgasbord roast reception, formal plated dinner, or flowing cocktail party, the in-house catering team handles everything on site. The surrounding farm and grounds make for memorable photos, and the team can arrange a 1929 Chevrolet Roadster as a wedding car.

About 20 minutes from Canberra CBD via the Barton Highway, Gold Creek Station sits just north of Hall Village and is well placed for guests coming from the ACT or the NSW wine country corridor.
