Inner South, Canberra NarrabundahThe Harmonie German Club has been a fixture of Canberra’s south since the 1950s, and its function side has grown well beyond the German cultural events it started with. The Zeppelin Room is the headline space — 280 seated or 400 standing, backed by one of the largest stages in the city with professional sound and lighting, and dividable into two rooms when a smaller crowd would rattle around in it. Six other spaces cover everything below that: the beer cellar-styled Bier Keller with its own private bar, the leafy Deck, a beer garden, a pool room with six professional tables, and two meeting rooms for boardroom-sized groups.
Catering is done in-house and scales from casual finger food to full sit-down service, with dedicated bars in the main spaces. Weddings, milestone birthdays, Christmas parties and community events all run here regularly, and there is free parking on site.
