National Gallery of Australia The nation's art collection in the Parliamentary Triangle, with Gandel Hall taking up to 800 for cocktails or 300 seated, plus a 300-seat theatre and smaller function spaces. Inner South ParkesThe National Gallery of Australia sits in the Parliamentary Triangle beside the High Court and the lake, and its event spaces come with the collection as a backdrop. Gandel Hall is the flagship — a large, flexible room close to the main entrance and car park that takes 800 for a standing reception, 300 for a seated banquet, or 250 for dinner and dancing.
The hall can be partitioned for smaller events and comes with a built-in stage, in-house audiovisual and ramp access throughout. Theatre-style configurations seat 300 and cabaret rounds seat 224, which covers conferences, awards nights and product launches alongside gala dinners and cocktail receptions. Trippas White Group is the exclusive caterer. For guests, the draw is the chance to move between an event and one of the country’s great art collections in the same evening.
