Water's Edge Canberra

Water’s Edge sits right on the shore of Lake Burley Griffin at the end of Parkes Place East, a short walk from the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery. It is a fine-dining restaurant first, and the room is built around the view — the water is on one side of you for the whole evening, which is why it turns up so often for engagements, milestone birthdays and anniversaries as well as business dinners.

For events there are four ways to use the space. A group booking puts up to 30 guests on long tables in a dedicated section of the dining room. The private dining room seats up to 18 around one table, which suits a board dinner or a small celebration. The dining domes on the waterfront take between 2 and 14 people each and are the closest you can sit to the lake. And the whole venue can be booked exclusively for up to 107 seated guests, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays and December by quote.

Menus are seasonal and change through the year, with wine pairings available and dietary requirements — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and allergies — catered for with notice. Parking is free after 5pm on weekdays and all day at weekends, and the venue is under 15 minutes from Canberra Airport.
