Four Winds Vineyard is one of the Murrumbateman cellar doors that has grown into a proper event destination. The setting is relaxed rather than formal — long tables under an open-sided hay shed, vineyard rows in every direction, and wood-fired pizza coming out alongside the tastings.
Large group bookings are welcome on weekdays and are seated outdoors under the shed, with packages available for parties of 15 or more. That makes it a straightforward option for Christmas parties, work lunches, birthdays and the day-after gathering that follows a wedding elsewhere in the district. The vineyard also runs its own calendar through the year, including Friday nights in December, a Father’s Day lunch and the Moving Feast weekend in October. It is about twenty minutes up the Barton Highway from Canberra’s northern edge.
