Weston Creek Community Centre

A refurbished 266m² function hall beside Cooleman Court seating 150 guests, with a parquetry dance floor, stage, commercial kitchen and in-house PA — run as a not-for-profit by the Weston Creek Community Association.

The Weston Creek Community Centre has sat beside Cooleman Court since 1978, managed by the not-for-profit Weston Creek Community Association. Its main hall has been fully refurbished — 266 square metres of parquetry floor with a stage at one end, ducted air conditioning and seating for 150 — and comes with 250 chairs, 32 trestle tables and a separate commercial kitchen. A PA system, projector and screen are available on top of the standard hire, and the whole site is wheelchair accessible with plenty of free parking.

Weddings, milestone birthdays, club nights and children’s parties all run here, helped along by community hire rates and a whole-evening booking that runs from 4pm to midnight. Two carpeted meeting rooms with their own kitchenettes handle smaller workshops and conferences. The centre also manages halls at Weston, Flynn, Chifley and Holt, so there is usually a room the right size somewhere in the group.
