Ginninderry Homestead is a Georgian-style property set on 70 acres of gardens and countryside, accessed via Macgregor. It offers exclusive-use weddings with ceremony, reception and accommodation all on one site — a practical option for couples who want a self-contained country wedding close to Canberra.
The Reception Centre sits at the top of the lawn, with a path up to it through the gardens and festoon lights strung through the pines. Inside it is a single long room with high ceilings, chandeliers and French doors down one side, plus a fireplace at the far end — so drinks, dinner and dancing all happen in the same space. There is room along the walls for a photo booth and a prop table without taking space from the dance floor, and BYO alcohol keeps the bar cost down.
