Primarily serves art groups; private parties and social functions are not accepted. West Belconnen, Canberra HoltStrathnairn Arts is a working arts precinct on a heritage farm property in Holt, West Belconnen. It operates primarily as an artist studio, gallery and community arts hub, but its Village Hall is available for non-art hire during ACT school terms (Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm, 4-hour sessions).
The Village Hall holds up to 30 people for non-art events (20 with art activities), and is suited to planning days, corporate workshops, training sessions and small professional meetings. Hire costs are $160 per session and $320 per day for non-art bookings. The setting is parkland and farm, giving a quiet, out-of-the-ordinary atmosphere for away-days and retreats.
Note: Strathnairn Arts explicitly does not hire to private parties or social functions. The larger Woolshed (up to 100 people, no internet access) is fully programmed with exhibitions and is not available for hire in 2026.
