Abode Woden sits in the heart of the Woden town centre, in a converted government building that was the first hotel in Australia to be awarded a Green Star rating by the Green Building Council of Australia. It is built for small to medium events rather than large receptions, with three flexible rooms that reconfigure for boardroom, theatre or classroom layouts.
The Ainslie Room is the biggest of the group’s spaces at 77sqm and takes up to 90 people, while the Stromlo and Majura Rooms suit workshops and breakouts of 35 to 40. All three have plenty of natural light, and audiovisual hire, a data projector and screen and unlimited Wi-Fi come at no extra cost. No.10 Restaurant + Bar handles catering on site, and 152 self-contained apartment-style rooms mean interstate guests can stay in the building. There is no on-site parking, but paid parking sits directly across the road.
